Heating Systems

A variety of air conditioning based heating systems are employed to provide comfort across different types of buildings and spaces.

Types of Systems

  1. Heat Pump Systems:

    • Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP): Extract heat from the outside air to provide heating during colder months and can also offer cooling in the summer.

    • Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP): Harness heat from the ground through buried pipes to provide heating and, in some systems, cooling.

  2. Ducted Air Conditioning Systems:

    • Split Systems: Consist of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit, used for both heating and cooling.

    • Multi-Split Systems: Connect multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit, offering zone control.

    • Ducted Systems: Employ ductwork to distribute conditioned air throughout the building, offering centralized heating and cooling.

  3. Portable and Window Air Conditioners:

    • Standalone units suitable for individual rooms or spaces, providing localized heating/ cooling.

  4. Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems:

    • Advanced systems that can vary the flow of refrigerant to multiple indoor units, offering precise control over temperature and zoning capabilities.

  5. Heat Recovery Systems:

    • Capture and recycle heat from exhaust air to preheat incoming fresh air, improving energy efficiency.

Selecting a System

When selecting a heating or air conditioning system in the UK, factors such as building size, insulation levels, energy efficiency ratings, and specific comfort requirements should be considered to determine the most suitable option for each application. We'll guide you accordingly based on your specific situation.
